Fall Mini Split Maintenance in New Mexico

As the weather turns, your mini split goes from cooling duty to keeping the house warm. Here is what a fall maintenance visit with our team covers and why it is worth booking before the cold sets in.

Why Fall Is the Right Time to Think About Your Mini Split

A mini split spends the summer cooling the house and the colder months heating it, so the turn of the season is the natural moment to check on it. If the system has been running hard since spring, its filters have been collecting dust for months, and the outdoor unit has been sitting outside through all of it. A little attention now means you find out about small problems on your schedule instead of on the first cold morning.

Our team maintains mini split systems for homes in Moriarty and across central New Mexico, and fall is a good time to book a visit before the heating season gets going. You can read more about what we do on our mini split maintenance page.

What a Maintenance Visit Covers

Our maintenance visits focus on the things that affect comfort and how long the system lasts. Here is what we look at.

Filters Inspected and Cleaned

The filters in the indoor unit catch the dust and debris that would otherwise end up inside the system. When they are clogged, the unit has to work harder to move air, and the rooms it serves can feel less comfortable. We inspect the filters and clean them as part of every visit.

The Outdoor Unit Looked Over for Wear and Debris

The outdoor unit lives outside year round. We look it over for signs of wear and for debris that has built up around it, so airflow is not being blocked as the system switches from cooling to heating.

Airflow and System Operation Checked

We check how the system is operating and how air is moving, so you know it is doing the job you expect of it. If something looks off, we tell you what we found.

How the Visit Works

It is simple. You call or message us and tell us about the system you have and what you have noticed. We find a time that works for your household, then we service the system: filters, outdoor unit and airflow checked and cleaned up. At the end we walk you through what we found and what to watch for, so you are not left guessing.

Simple Things You Can Watch for Between Visits

  • Rooms that feel less comfortable than they used to
  • Airflow from the indoor unit that seems weaker than normal
  • Dust buildup on or around the indoor unit
  • Leaves or debris piled up around the outdoor unit

Any of these is a good reason to give us a call. They are not always a sign of something serious, but a quick check is better than waiting for the system to let you down.
